need help with Edge in Exchange 2003 environemnt misbehaving

    Hi All,
I hope someone can point me in the right direction as I am ready to dump the two edge boxes!!!

    Here is what we have.

    Inbound:
Postini -> Edge -> Ex2003 - this works like a dream! blindingly fast.

    Outbound:
Ex2003 -> Edge -> Postini - this is where the problem is. Sometimes messages would queue on the Ex2003 bridgeheads. Queues growing up to 700 during the day. Then all of a sudden the queue will be flushed to the Edge and they would start queueing there. There are delays of up to 30 mins... don't really know where to start from. We have disabled any firewalls and IPS Cisco rubbish ... no luck. The same SMTP connectors that are delivering to the Edge used to deliver to two mimesweepers. The mimesweepers are still up and running and I have now rerouted all outbound traffic via the mimesweepers and it just works!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have even got a case open with MS and they are clueless!

    Thanks in advance,
    Dimitri

    Hi,

That does sound like a strange one!

What is the current situation? Did MS come up with anything?

    Cheers

    Nathan
