    Transport Dumpster/Autodatabasemountdial testing

    Hi All

I am testing a CCR mailbox server with Autodatabasemountdial set to Best Availability (6 log loss exposure).

What is the best approach of simulating log loss for unscheduled CCR failure (basically I want to test how my CCR cluster will behave depending on the number of transaction logs not yet replicated to the passive node).

How do I best prove that messages not yet commited (i.e. sitting in the Transport Dumpster on the HTS) are delivered correctly when the passive node comes online when I failover?

Can't find onthing useful online showing the best procedure for these tests.

    Regards

    Hi,

    Good question!

Sorry I haven't posted sooner. I have asked a couple of people to make some suggestions, but they are rather busy....

    Anyhow.

All I can think of would be to use LoadGen to generate content and then simulate failure by killing the relevant server. However, not really sure that would help you proove much apart from that the machines come online properly.

Have you made any other progress?

    Cheers

    Nathan
