    Postfix --> Exchange 2007 migration

    Hi,

    I've been landed in it at work as our two main mail gurus have moved on. Basically have to do a mail migration from Postfix to Exchange 2007 - 500 users.

    I don't really know much about postfix but am fine with Exchange. So my question is, what is the best method to tackle this? It is a more a case of working out the coexistence during the migration I guess.

    Any help at all would be really appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the lack of reply here. How did you get on with this project? I would be interested to hear what method you used.

    I guess that one method would be to suck the email into a client app like Outlook and then import it to Exchange via that.

    Cheers

    Nathan

    Don't knock client side as a valid migration option, especially if you can automate or script it.

    Outlook 2003 is often overlooked as a migration tool, but the import/export and conversion options are very powerfull.

    Extracting mail using POP3 or IMAP into PST files can often be the easiest way forward, depending on the numbers in question.

    Agreed, if it can be automated then good move!

    If it can't then stick to small setups otherwise that is a serious pain......
