Sign up for the MMMUG Scottish Launch Event

    Hi,

Here are the details of our first Scottish MMMUG meeting.

This is a new venture for MMMUG as it will be the first time we have run an event outside of London. The venue will be the MS offices in Edinburgh. With luck (and your participation) this will hopefully be the start of many events of which future ones will be led by Andy Malone winning of Speaker Idol at IT Forum this year.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 8th February. Directions to the venue can be found below.

The meeting will have a mixed format with both PowerPoint and Discussion sessions. We will be joined by a top MCS consultant, Simon Shepherd who will help lead the event and answer your questions. So to help get things started have a think about what you want to know and bring along your Exchange related questions.

The agenda for the meeting will be as follows: (although I may tweak the timings slightly)

    18:00 - 18:30            Arrival

18:30 - 18:35            Introduction to speakers and the aims of the group

18:35 - 19:30            1st session; led by Simon Shepherd, MCS.

An introduction to Exchange 2007 including a detailed look at what will catch you out when using it –

    19:30 - 19:50            Food!

19:50 - 20:55            1st discussion; led by Simon Shepherd, Andy Malone and Nathan Winters

Your Exchange questions answered with a focus on Design and Architecture with Exchange 2003 and 2007.

20:55 - 21:00            Summing up and suggestions for future meetings.

    21:00                        The End!

If you are interested in attending the Scottish MMMUG Launch meeting please sign up by posting in this thread.

Thanks and looking forward to meeting you all!

Re: Sign up for the MMMUG Scottish Launch Event

    Hello Nathan!

Thanks for being able to organise an event in Scotland to cater for those of us north of the Border!

I'd just like to say that I'm certainly planning to show up for your event.  I look after the Microsoft Partner UG/Community here in Aberdeen (kinda evolving from the UKSBSG community), and I'll certainly try and drum up some interest in getting some other North-East based people to come down to Edinburgh for your event.

Will publicise your event to those in the Aberdeen group - we're fortunate this month in that we're also getting QA and Microsoft to e-mail their Aberdeen-based partners about our own forthcoming events, so it should be easy to slip in an extra web link to this page... Smile

See you in a few weeks time...!

    Stan

Re: Sign up for the MMMUG Scottish Launch Event

I know this is probably a mountain of additional work Nathan, but is there any way that any presentations etc that are given at these meetings could be made available online afterwards, so that those of us who can't make it can share the knowledge ?

    Hi,

Yes I will do my best!

I am talking to people about Livemeeting and will get it sorted soon.

Hopefully that will be in time for the two February sessions.

    Cheers
