    Hi,

Could you give a few more details here.

The STM file will grow as required, there is no way to manually size it.

    Cheers

    Hi Nathan,

I have Exchange 2000 installed and have 4 Storage Groups. Each storage group has 1 mailbox and 2-3 users for these mailboxes. For testing purpose we have to test on Exchange mailbox which has a .edb file of 15GB and .stm file of 15GB. I got a tool called 'mailstrm' which helps me to send mails in bulk and which increases the size of the .edb file.

If i use Outlook Express and Outlook Webaccess then I can populate the .stm file but i do not want to sit down and do this as this manually as this may take me forever. So I am looking for some tool which can increase the .stm file to 15GB. Right now 'mailstrm' tool will not allow me to send the mails saved from Outlook Express.

    Thanks

    Ah, I see.

Ok, not sure about this to be honest, but have you looked at the JetStress tools?

They prepare databases before running database stress tests. I am not sure if they load the STM file but might be worth a look.

Let me know how things go, if you haven't got any further I will see if I can get someone else to take a look at the problem.

    Cheers

Have you tried a command line sendmail such as sendsmtp

    http://www.greyware.com/licenses/index.asp?name=SendSMTP

You can schedule a batch file that sends SMTP mail with attchments to run every few seconds and walk away for the weekend...
