Hi all,
Just wanted to recycle something I found that resolved a recurring headache - recently every time I accessed my calendar, Outlook would hang, peg the processor at 60% or thereabouts and never come back. After a lot of frustration and t-shooting I found a workaround today on the TechNet forums. So if you are having the same problem and have tried other std t-shoots like creating new profiles, scanost-ing, unloading COM add-ins, /safe /resettodobar /cleanfreebusy switches etc. then try this:
- From any view, open your calendar by clicking on a day prior to today in the To Do Bar - say last week some time.
- Click 'View', 'Daily Task List' and then 'Off'. Ta-da, your calendar will work again.
A pain if you like that view, and only a workaround but good enough for the moment - maybe until SP2 :-) I'm guessing the cause is a corrupt flagged message or task, but I don't know how to fix, so the workaround will have to do... unless somebody has seen or worked out a fix?
HTH somebody somewhere,
Cheers,
Tim
